While people constantly push the boundaries with mods adding more and more gameplay features to the point where it can straight up turn into a strategy game or just flat out be a very functional MMORPG. However, there is a ton of things that can be done with vanilla Minecraft to this day. In fact, new things are still being added to Minecraft to this day. One of them is Buddies For Baby, a mod that gives you a ton of different pets to tame.

Installing Buddies For Baby is simple. Make sure you have Minecraft Forge installed, then navigate to your mods folder and drag it in.

There are a ton of different pets that are added for you to tame. For instance, there are green anoles, three diffeerent types of crested geckos. These three geckos can be tamed using a brand new food source called calcium crickets, which you'll need to find in plains and most forests. These guys are also a miniature kind of pet, as you can also breed them with seeds. Once crickets die off, they'll turn into calcium crickets and you can now tame the geckos.

You'll also find toads that are also tamed with crickets, but you'll need a net as well to catch these guys. There are also new terrariums that you can build to house these pets, where they'll stay for as long as you keep them alive.

Buddies For Baby is a mod that gives you a lot more options in gameplay and you should give it a shot if you're a Minecraft fan.
