Dark Devotion 1.0

Dark Devotion demo is a side scrolling 2D violent platform adventure game where you live in a world that your faith is tested every day and punishment is served through suffering. Playing as the female heroine you must make your way through deadly and dangerous dungeons filled with traps and enemies that you must battle your way through.

It’s not just hack n’ slash though there also puzzle elements where you will need to use your variety of weapons or something in your inventory to work your way past it.

The game is very nicely animated and enjoyable, especially the fighting sequences using your sword and shield to attack and defend from enemies is a lot of fun and the mechanics of the game are what will keep you playing.

It is very challenging and even small mistakes can see you lose a life but there’s a lot of check points meaning you don’t often have to cover to many of your previous tracks to get back and try to pass the last enemy or trap that killed you.

Although still being developed and this demo shows us only a small part of the beginning of Dark Devotion but it looks very promising and the roguelike and fast game play along with some dark and creepy themes in the story line should make this game appeal to the majority of gamers.
