Dragon Ball Z Budokai X has over 15 scenarios to battle through as well as, unlike many games developed by small developers, an Online mode as previously mentioned. As such a lightweight game, this sets Dragon Ball Z Budokai X aside from other games that are similar.

While in battle, players build up their "Ki" to build up power for special moves that each character can execute, defensive or offensively. Whether defensive or offensive, the special moves produced by your "Ki" will change the game and give you the upper hand on your opponent.
