DropIt 8.5.1

When I'm trying to work as fast as I can, there's nothing as annoying to me as all those window prompts that ask me if I want to replace my files. It's, needless to say, incredibly annoying. When I'm doing repetitive actions, I don't want even more reptition in my process. Thank god DropIt is here, though. This program streamlines all those little annoyances away.

Initially booting up DropIt was surprising to me. I expected a window to pop up on my screen, but all that happened instead was a single icon showing up. This icon is basically the entire program. With that, you can easily copy, move, compress, rename, delete, split, join, encrypt, decrypt, or upload files by simply dragging files straight onto that window. It can also extract files from archives, open them with any program you've installed, email them to somebody, copy them to the Clipboard, and much more. Sound a bit overwhelming? Don't worry, a help file is included that covers everything.

You can easily create profiles and file associations with this program. New file associations can be put together bby indicating a display name, action, rules, and additional parameters. You can amrk associations as favorites to give them priority in case of multiple matches. This part was actually unclear, even after perusing the help file, so be sure to do some research online when it comes to working with file associations. Other than that learning curve, I can easily recommend DropIt to anybody wanting to streamline their workflow.
