Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. This game finally melds the old and new together. There are multiple layers now, but you need to complete a bunch of mini puzzles to progress between them. This is probably one of the best fusions they could have done, as each layer will add more and more to the main puzzle while the mini-puzzles will keep your brain synapses firing. It makes this the easiest to navigate entry in the complex game style but doesn't make the puzzles any easier than they usually are. In fact, there's a very engaging slow unveiling of the main puzzle as more and more pieces are added to it.

All in all, Escape from the Similar Rooms 20 is the best entries into the series by far and marks a true evolution.
