Hard Disk Sentinel 5.4

Your hard drive is an incredibly important part of your computer. All your files are stored there, of course. If something goes wrong with it, either hardware or software wise, you might lose some incredibly important information. But how can you know if something's about to go wrong with it? You need a program for that, and Hard Disk Sentinel does that job fantastically.

...That is, once you overcome a few severe problems. The website I was directed to was in Hungarian for some reason. I don't understand Hungarian, so I basically winged it and tried replacing .hu with .com to see if it would work. It did, thankfully, and I found the English site. Once I downloaded, installed, and booted it up, Hard Disk Sentinel was in Japanese! I had to stumble my way through to locate the options menu and language button. To do that yourself, you need to click on the second to last tab, then click on the third to last button under that dropdown menu. Then go to the second tab, open the drop-down menu there, and select English. There will be some Japanese still peppered around the program, but it is now fully usable. 

It quickly tells you the general health of your disks first thing, giving them a percentage value. You can click through the tabs to view some bonus information, like Temperature and S.M.A.R.T values. If you know how to comprehend those values, this program is incredibly useful for you.
