Flash games were the progenitor to many of the mobile games that are widely available today. The mix of arcade gameplay and truly engaging mechanics led to a massive fanbase or certain flash games. One of the many that had humble beginnings that still evolved into something great is the Heli Attack series. Let's look at Heli Attack 2.

To play Heli Attack 2, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.

The first difference you'll notice between this and the original game is the visuals. It is now featuring a pixel art style that boasts a ton of detail that is far superior to its original Microsoft Paint style. There's also some music and sound effects, though they can get a little too loud and unfortunately, you can't choose to turn one or the other, and have to turn both off.

The gameplay is very similar, but with some extra additions. There is now a hyper jump button that lets you soar into the air and also a time dilation button that lets you slow down time. There are now also a ton of different weapons that mix the gameplay up, such as the flamethrower that only works at close range or the grenade launcher. The terrain is now also filled with hidey holes where you can take cover.

All in all, Heli Attack 2 shows how fun the gameplay foundation can be.
