Friday Night Funkin' was a smash hit when it came out over a year ago, and took the gaming scene by storm. It is insanely stylish while also hitting the nostalgia switch with its art style. Even now, its modding community is still going strong for a good reason. The incredible modability along with the relatively simple engine lends it incredibly well to modders. The community has created some amazing mods and one of them is High Effort Pibby SpongeBob Mod.

To install High Effort Pibby SpongeBob Mod, simply unzip the files in the archive into the folder that you've installed the mod and run Psych.exe.

This mod features just one song, but it's a pretty high quality song. This takes a concept from a show called Pibby where a glitchy abomination invades and turns people into glitched out versions of themselves. The character Pibby is standing next to Boyfriend.

There is a backdrop of a glitched out Bikini Bottom, and a blacked-out Spongebob standing on the other side. After a short prelude, he'll glitch into existence and start singing proper. The mod creator did a fantastic job with making him feel uncanny to sell the idea, such as keeping his face in place as his whole body vibrates.

The song is interesting because it changes styles a couple of times, which is very rare for a lot of Friday Night Funkin' mod songs. This forces you to stay on guard as the tempo and song type might just change out of nowhere.
