There has been a recent trend in fiction where people take traditional fairy tales and add a dark twist on it. This is surprising because fairy tales are already pretty dark if you think about it. One of the more popular fairy tales to twist is Red Riding Hood just because it's one of the better-known ones, and it already has some very dark overtones from the wolf to the hunter. One of the many that remixes this classic fairy tale is the Hood series. Let's look at Hood: Episode 2.

To install Hood: Episode 2, simply run the file in whatever SWF player you have.

Compared to the first entry, this one is a lot less polished. Your main focus is to unlock the secrets of the machine you spawn in front of, and you have to do this by interrogating local inhabitants and facing various spirits who insult you. The atmosphere is, on paper, still incredibly creepy. However, it constantly undermines itself with some writing choices with phrases like "super important" or other out of place funny for texts. 

Despite its own best efforts, however, the atmosphere remains creepy and is still one of the best parts of the game. The story is still interesting, with a bunch of twists and another nasty cliffhanger at the end. If any of that sounds interesting to you, then you should give Hood: Episode 2 a try.
