Inch by Inch is a an unusual but certainly intriguing game which starts off with a fairly straight forward tutorial showing you how you can mix and make formulas in your laboratory however after making coffee from the lab equipment one too many times you accidentally make yourself a shrinking potion and this is where the sense of urgency and peril comes in.

You now have to try to collect the materials and make the antidote before you shrink too small to be able to cure yourself!

The premise behind the game is a very good idea although the controls can feel a bit jerky and although the graphics are decent they are not spectacular, the best thing about the game is the feeling of having to complete your mission as you watch your size decrease every moment on the scale on the left hand side of the screen, it’s also very cool the way that your eye level starts to lower in line with your shrinking!

Inch by Inch was made for a recent game jam and considering the time limitations often put on the developers in these competitions it’s quite a feat to come up with such a novel idea and a pretty good execution of the game.
