It’s Always Monday is a kind of groundhog style game where you a play an employee in a generic office and although the objectives are not particularly clear, it seems as if the aim is to cause as much mischief as possible to get yourself fired, this includes things such as going on chatroulette instead of doing your work and allowing your boss to catch you, or breaking in to the work place security camera and operating the system. You can also pick up and throw items around and just generally cause chaos within the office, after five warning of misdoing it should release you from your repeated Monday hell.

To an extent the game is almost a social commentary on the monotony and mundanity of everyday life in a 9 – 5 blue collar job however it’s kind of confusing at first I did not even realize it was possible to leave my desk and when I had done so it was not clear what I was meant to do but partially the point of the game is to be quite obscure and strange as well as showcasing the monotony of office life, for example each one of your co-workers shares your name and looks exactly the same.

It’s certainly a different and very interesting game but not sure if it’s worth more than one or two play throughs, you can download It’s Always Monday here for free and decide for yourselves.
