JetSearch 3.1.8

Have you gone to the search bar in Windows, inputted a file name you're completely sure is correct, and windows fails to turn it up? Or worse, Windows Explorer locks up as it tries to find your file within the thousands you have installed, and you can't work in it for a while. Well, Wise Jetsearch is a faster alternative that I can't recommend enough if you're having these problems.

The interface is extremely simple, making user error a pipe dream. There is a drop-down menu where you select which drives you want it to sift through, an input field for the name you want to search, and a search button. Very little room to mess up.

The best part is this program works incredibly quickly. I inputted the incredibly common term "Windows" in to see how long it would take to find every instance of the term. Where Windows Search would have locked up for many seconds trying to do so in a single drive, Jetsearch returned all 50k+ results to me almost instantaneously. You can see for yourself in the picture - at the bottom, it says the duration was 0 seconds. I can personally tell you it is accurate.

When you're not not using it, it disappears into your taskbar, only coming into play when you want it to. The only downside to this program is that there's very little documentation or complexity - online help barely tells you anything about the difference between versions and there isn't a settings menu anywhere. However, it shouldn't be a problem. Jetsearch does exactly what it says very quickly.
