Acting as a construction and management simulation video game, in Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis you get to be the owner of the park and design in how ever you want to design it. Just like you would expect from a management simulation game, you are given a budget that will allow you to build a certain amount to start out, and you will build capital by running the park and getting money from visitors. This game is excellent for those who are big fans of the Jurassic Park movies and would like to see what it would be like to run the park by their own. The game was released in 2003, so the graphics are a bit dated, but that does not take away from the fun of the game. It is pretty well made and pretty extensive, so you will find yourself wanting to  more and more. Your main mission in this Jurassic Park game is to create the park and feature various types of dinosaurs for your visitors to check out. If you are familiar with how a zoo works, that is pretty much what you are going for in Jurassic Park. The game play and controls are pretty similar to other games like Sim City and any of the games that end in "Tycoon", so if you really enjoy games like that you will feel right at home in Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. Be the boss, the owner, and manage the park on your own and entertain your guests as they tour your park. However, make sure that your park is safe, otherwise no one will want to visit. If no one wants to visit, you will ultimately fail since you need to make money from the park that you created. So make sure you make your park appealing and safe for your visitors. 

The game features many different types of dinosaurs, for a total of 25 different dinosaurs. All of the dinosaurs you are able to feature in the game, in your park, are from the Jurassic Park movie, so you should be pretty familiar with the dinosaurs that will be roaming around your park. The game also has a total of ten missions that you can complete to keep you busy in the game while you are building your parks. You basically aim to complete these missions as these are the objectives while running your parks and give you bonuses and open more parks as you play the game and complete more and more missions that are available to you.
