Flash game developers served as the precursors for the modern indie scene in many way, giving independent developers the tools to prove that a good idea can go a long way. Some of these developers went far, proving even back then that they could take the rudimentary Flash format and do great things with them. They even got attention from big-name publishers like EA, who sometimes asked them to make a game for them. Mirror's Edge 2D is one of these

This developer made one of the best known Flash platforming series of all times - Fancy Pants Adventure. That made him the top candidate for creating a 2D Parkour game based off of EA's Mirror's Edge, and they knew it too.

It plays very similarly to its main 3D counterpart except at a 2D perspective. You have to conserve your momentum to make long jumps, with a ton of different tools to help you keep your speed up like wallrunning, vaulting, and wall jumping. You have to also deal with the police officers along the way that are constantly trying to take down your illegal parkour moves.

If that sounds fun to you, then you should definitely give Mirror's Edge 2D a try. It's one of the best designed Flash platformers out there.
