This is a very casual point-and-click game. Every level of the game will present you with a crying monkey who's stuck in some sort of predicament, and it's your job to cheer them up by finding the magical elf that's hidden somewhere in the level. It starts off incredibly easy, with the elf just hiding in a box, to ending up incredibly difficult by the end. It's a very gradual difficulty curve, but there are some puzzles that get ridiculous in terms of leaps in logic.
