Point and click adventure games generally sprawling and revolving around complex puzzles with multiple stages, and well as good character writing. Of course, Flash games are different. While the Monkey Go Happy series is known for short, quick, and simple puzzles, there clearly was some potential for bigger and more complex puzzles. Monkey Go Happy Sci-Fi 2 is a refinement and expansion on the formula.

Just like the last game in this spin-off series, the maps are bigger than the main series but not as big as the Mini Monkey spin-off series. The settings also cover a large variety of environments that have very little overlap with the last game. There isn't that much unique to set this game apart outside of that, save for the fact that mini monkeys are holding you hostage with their little mini blasters throughout the whole thing.

The puzzles are more complex than the original series, but just slightly. There's only so many things you can click on. There is also a high score system based on the number of clicks and the time it takes you to finish each level.

All in all, Monkey Go Happy Sci-Fi is a generally straightforward point and click game that expands on the formula that made the original series so popular.
