Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. There are a ton of flash game creators that got into the craze, with Ena Game Studio being one of many. Let's look at one of their games, Mr Lal the Detective 1.

This game has a fairly interesting plot and graphical presentation, but unfortunately is absolutely riddled with grammatical errors that makes it very hard to actually pay attention and get into it.

This game, unlike many other ENA games, doesn't have music, which I believe is for the better. The sound effects alone establish atmosphere and feel now, and it feels much more cohesive than many other ENA games.

As usual, the puzzles themselves are very straightforward and have a logical flow, which is fantastic. It's definitely the main reason why you'd want to be playing these games, with everything else being secondary.

All in all, if you're a fan of point-and-click games, then Mr Lal the Detective 1 is a fine use of your time, even though it has many flaws.
