Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid-size productions or simple indie titles. Japanese developers, in particular, took to it in droves. One of them is the developer Funkyland. Let's look at one of their games in a series, KAITOU M COLLECTION No.05 Eyebrow Plate of Aphrodite.

There's practically no written story save for the intro, which portrays the main character and a quick heist target, which is in this case, the plate on the eyebrow of a statue of Aphrodite all the way over in Cythera.

The gameplay is very similar to other point and click adventure games. You have to click around for special items and then combine them so you can find ways to disable the security system and take what's yours. It's not exactly original, but it's not trying to be.

The art is gorgeous, with the environment taking place in a vault that looks near photorealistic. This entry is short and sweet much like every other Funkyland game.
