Tower Defense games have generally fallen out of favor in the mainline gaming industry in the 21st century. There are very few tower defense games in the AAA market, and even if they're there, it's usually as part of a gimmick or a minigame. Thus, Flash games have had time to refine and innovate on the formula by themselves. One of the many series that have tried is the Bubble Tanks series. Let's look at Pokemon Tower Defense 2.

To play Pokemon Tower Defense 2, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.

Just like the first game, it turns the popular catch-em-all experience into a tower defense RPG hybrid complete with its own evolutions, story, mystery gifts, badges, and more.

There are a couple of changes to the story mode. There is now an overworld where you can walk around and interact wit the world much like the original Pokemon games. This makes it a lot more in line with the Pokemon games of the mainline, official games that really elevate it above a lot of other flash games.

All in all, Pokemon Tower Defense 2 is a very strong game and is incredibly fun to play through, and seeing how each Pokemon will play out on the field is incredibly fun.
