Pure Waters 5.0

Vanilla Skyrim has a variety of issues. Most would agree that the passage of time has not been kind to it, with a ton of people rightfully pointing out a ton of issues with it. Luckily, Skyrim has one of the largest modding scenes around and a ton of creators have dedicated themselves to fixing the game's many issues. One of them is Pure Waters to improve the look of water up close and make them look more realistic.

To install Pure Waters, drag it into the Skyrim Data folder, and make it load near the top but after weather mods. Make sure you don't have other water mods as those are the only conflicts.

This mod fixes the water in Skyrim to hold up when you stare at it up close. Here is a list of the changes it makes:

- Colors enhancement: natural, wild and various water colors.
- Realistic transparency: big shorelines improvement.
- Various streams: each type of water area has its own texture and flow effect.
- Reflections improvement: no more too-glassy waters.
- Underwater redone: a bit more realistic underwater.
- HD foams, rain ripples and streams: Textures included.

Textures are in 1024x1024 uncompressed resolution, and there are no FPS drops whatsoever. There are also no mod conflicts or CTDs when it comes to this mod, as it doesn't modify worldspace or cells.

Overall, Pure Waters is a very straightforward mod that will nonetheless enhance the game's visuals and improve your immersion by making water not look like runny mud.
