REX 1.1.1

REX is a single player or local multiplayer board game that is like a simplified version of chess where each player only has 5 pieces consisting of what looks a like a king two sorcerers and two bishops, much like real chess you’re smaller pieces have a shorter range to move around the board and the king figure has a very long range almost being able to move from one side of the board to the other.

Whilst REX may appeal to those of you who find the game of Chess a bit over crowded and daunting it lacks the technicality, intelligence and depth of Chess and has a tendency to become a bit repetitive, of course when it all becomes a bit too easy you can up the difficulty of the AI and of course the local multiplayer is a good feature as playing against real people is a lot more unpredictable than playing against the computer.

The board and pieces have been really nicely rendered and look great but the lack of variation makes REX feel like not much more than a half finished game of chess.
