Score Chaser 1.0

Score Chaser is an exhilarating blend of classic arcade games, playing like the classic racing game Outrun your avatar whizzes through city streets but this isn’t a driving game because soon you will be under attack from some very familiar looking enemies, such as the monsters from Pac-Man, the barrels being thrown at you from Donkey Kong and many more things that will take you back to arcade games of yesteryear.

The look of the game is very simple and there is certainly no “wow” factor with the graphics but it does encapsulate the essence of the games that have clearly influenced Score Chaser and if you’re looking for a nostalgia trip over no particular but just another (well the original) era of gaming then this is bound to send some metaphorical shivers down your spine.

Built in a short space of time for a recent Game Jam, the game is easy to pick up and play for a few minutes and it’s very cool spotting all the nods to other games however in regards to longevity it’s unlikely a game you would come back to after completing it.

Still a lot of fun though!
