The default screen capturing application on windows is so, 'meh.' It's a very dull experience. Yes it gets the job done, but that's it. Have you ever caught yourself wishing that it just did a little bit more? Trust me; you're not alone. Whether you are taking screenshots to create some sort of tutorial or stealing someone's Instagram pictures. Screenshot Captor will give you the tools necessary to get it done.

Every program has it's downside. Even though Screen Captor has an abundance of neat features to ensure the best possible output, if you were to take a screenshot of Screenshot Captor's main window and show it to someone, they would never be able to figure out what the program does. It has several small icons along its sides that tell you absolutely nothing. For the average user, the icons may be even too small to depict what it could possibly be showing you. This forces a new user to have to hover the mouse over the icons one by one for a period of time until the icon's description conveniently appears. It is rather time consuming.

Besides that minor design flaw, the application works tremendously well. You're given several more options to capture your screen with than the default screen capture application that comes standard on Windows such as the ability to capture an image from a fixed selection or capturing a screenshot from your connected webcam. All in all, this application is a lot more feature rich than the stock application. I just wish that the icon issue would be fixed. Hopefully we will see that fix in the next release.
