Senpai Screams 1.0

Being big fans of Yandere Simulator we were excited to come across a game with the title Senpai Screams, figuring it may be some clever fan made game using the characters from Yandere or that it would be something to do with that world, however and we’re not denying some anime characters do pop up weirdly in front of you and then do nothing to you, and the game does feature some pretty funky J-Pop music but after 10 minutes of playing all we seemed to be doing was running through the same tunnels over and over again while someone who calls themselves the “Cringy Overlord” does the occasional supposedly scary voice over, when he curses at you because he can’t whistle you will understand why he is called the Cringy overlord!

Going in to this one pleasant surprise was that it wasn’t a visual novel and we were quite excited for what looked like a 2D horror game and I’m sure fans of 2D anime models may actually enjoy the surprises later in this game, but those who are looking for an in depth horror game may want to look elsewhere.

Senpai Screams is an unusual game and maybe with a couple more play throughs it may seem more quirky and enjoyable but on first impressions it’s very repetitive with voice acting that is like to make your skin crawl (and not in a good, scared way but a cringy way!).
