SEPTEMBER 1999 is a mysterious horror game that is all shown as if through the lens of a 90's video camera, grainy picture and static screens all included, the game all takes place over one night in September starting you off in what seems to have once been a nice family home that now has its windows boarded up and seems to be a place of squalor, as you wander in to the hallway to try to to find an escape, the use of the video camera means the game can time jump throughout the night and as you start to build a picture of what horror has happened here things become very intriguing and mysterious.

The time jumps never completely fill you in what exactly has happened throughout this fateful night but show that their is definitely some kind of horrible crime committed and as you move from point to point throughout the evening may even have you wondering if the monster you may be running from could possibly be yourself. This is one of the the best things about SEPTEMBER 1999 is that a lot is left to the players imagination but the game never fails to be incredibly tense and enthralling.

Taking only about 5 minutes to play from start to finish one flaw is that it would have been nice to play this fantastic horror game for a bit longer and some players may be frustrated at the lack of a full conclusion although leaving the players in mystery certainly in the case of this game can often be more intriguing.
