Silent Hill: The Gallows 1.0

Silent Hill: The Gallows is a fan made game set in the Silent Hill universe, it is still in its early development stage but it looks fantastic the graphics are outstanding and it looks and plays as if it were part of The Silent Hill franchise.

There are some improvements that could be made as there is no cut scene really explaining your characters situation but it seems as if you play as some kind of escaped convict who in his escape finds himself in an abandoned mansion which at first seems quite convenient when you find some clothes meaning you can finally get out of that orange jumpsuit and back in to civilian clothing, however the good fortune doesn’t last long as you make your way deeper in to the house things get creepier and sooner or later you will be confronted by monsters. You will also be able to find and use different weapons including frying pans, axes and pitch forks and you will need them when you start to face the demons which in some cases are huge and in others they run in groups. Due to the game still being developed the lack of an on screen health bar can be quite an inconvenience especially when in a big battle it can put you at a disadvantage as you do not know when to take one of the medi-kits that you have collected during a battle although that may be quite difficult anyway as you need to bring up your inventory to use a medi-kit.

For a game still early in development it looks and plays great and is a must for fans of horror games and the Silent Hill series especially as it’s free and fan made you have to see just how much detail the developer has put in to this and it’s only going to get better.
