Venti Mesi 1.0

Venti Mesi is not so much of a game but an interactive story but goodness is it powerful, it tells the stories of twenty different characters, families or lovers during the final twenty months of World War 2.

The story is told so beautifully and is truly compelling giving you brief glimpses in to the struggles the Milanese had during the war, it is not only educational but told in such a profound and beautiful way with marvelous illustrations and a piano heavy soundtrack that perfectly fits with the emotional journey that this game will take you on.
The Italian voice actor is also superb although I did not understand a word thankfully the game has English subtitles but he has a great voice to listen to!

This kind of game will not be for everyone and I probably should not refer to it as a game, interactive story is far more fitting although there is not so much emphasis even on the interaction but the stories are engrossing and riveting, sad and melancholy but always interesting.

This interactive story will give you goose pimples, it will make you think, it may even make you cry but it is something you will never regret giving a few minutes of your life to play through, it does not take much more than half an hour to get all the way through and if you like the first few scenes then I’m sure you will be hooked right until the bitter sweet ending.

Venti Mesi really taps directly in to your emotions and tries to help us to understand a time and a place in the world that our generation will never be able to fully appreciate, it by no means glamorizes the war but makes you think of all the struggles that people must have gone through in those much harder times and shows you those struggles from many different perspectives.
Simply put one of the most compelling interactive stories ever made.
