Dungeons and Dragons is one of the most popular tabletop games in existence, if not the most popular. The sheer breadth of options available to you in character customization itself is staggering, and the adventures cooked up by your dungeon master have infinite replay value. However, that dungeon master has to deal with a ton of different things in the background, distracting them from just...well, being the DM. Luckily, DM Helper is here to help.

Installing DM Helper is easy. Just unzip it and run the executable. When you boot it up, you'll notice that it has a simple interface. There's a two window system. One is created for displaying and editing for the DM, while the other is a Player Window, where you can put stuff just for the players to see.

There's also a robust map system, letting you track the initiative, tokens, health, damage, and area of effect spells along with being able to edit the fog of war, panning, or a pointer to highlight individual points on the map. The program also comes built with a detailed bestiary that's prefilled with monsters, though you can also easily create your own monsters as well. It also helps you create a campaign from scratch, with a very modular layout that lets you slot scenarios in wherever you want.

All in all, DM Helper is one of the most useful programs for a DM around. If you're busy creating a digital campaign, then you should definitely give this program a download.
