BVS Solitaire Collection Review

Do you really, really enjoy Solitaire? Were you like me back in the day, where the internet was so slow that the computer was good for nothing else but Microsoft Office, Minesweeper, and Solitaire? If that's you, well, clearly somebody out there agreed with us because they created BVS Solitaire Collection. It's advertised as having over 500 different Solitaire variations, with over 100 original ones that they created on their own! Let's take a look. If you end up enjoying this game, you can also use the Microsoft Solitaire download for a similar experience!

Installation is a straightforward process. Nothing crazy like some of the more technical programs out there. On my first boot up of BVS Solitaire Collection, the first thing I noticed was how simplistic the UI was. You can choose to look at your statistics, start a game, look at the options, and exit the program. It's very straightforward. Clicking start...starts a game under the current Solitaire rule selection.

The main draw of this program is just how many different variations of Solitaire there are in here. There are quite literally more versions of Solitaire than I ever thought existed all stored here in this little program. There are the well known ones such as Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid, and Russian Solitaire, but there are also ones that are either not well known or completely homebrewed by the developers. For instance, there are Klondike, Tri-Peaks, Scorpion, Seahaven Towers, Accordion, Flower Garden, and more.

Klondike is a variation where you have 7 tableau piles with the number of cards increasing from one to seven. Aces are moved to the foundations and your goal is to build the foundation up to the suit of kings. Whatm akes this variation different is that the top cards of tableau piles and waste piles are available to play. You can build tableau piles down in sequence and alternating color. Empty Tableaus can be filled with a king or a group of cards.

Another variation is In a Frame Solitaire, where there are no redeals. It uses two full decks, and 12 tableau piles are placed on the board in the form of a frame. In the center of the frame, there is a space for 8 foundations that are built up in suit from 2 to ace. 2's will be moved to the foundations as soon as they appear in frame or in the stock pile. You have to keep all these parameters in mind as you build the suit up to aces. This is an incredibly creative way of playing Solitaire. If you want some more games like this, then you should use the Microsoft Solitaire download to play even more Solitaire.

The PC version also comes with a ton of extra features such as the ability to customize your background and the back of your cards. You can easily use some personal photography to begin customizing your game to have your personal touch. Another thing to touch on is that it's also available on IOS - this game is also available on the IOS and you can play on both devices.

To select different rules, you need to go under Game and click on Select Solitaire. You can use the shortcut ctrl+F2 to go there quickly. You can also change that shortcut under options if you find that it isn't too comfortable to stretch your fingers that far. It's very intuitive and user friendly.

Unfortunately, most of the Solitaire options are locked away in terms of functionality. Most of the variants require multiple shuffling techniques, but the free version only features two. If you try to play them, you'll be informed of that and your score won't be recorded. If you really like Solitaire, though, you should give BVS Solitaire Collection a download anyways! If you find that you really like this game, then you should also use the Microsoft Solitaire download to continue on with your Solitaire journey.
