Disk management is one of the most important skills to have for any long term computer user. Your disk drives naturally fragment as you use it over time - there's no getting around it. The files get more and more spread out and slows your system down. Moreover, there's no built in support if you want to 768y There are a ton of software out there that help you do that, and most of the best ones are paid.
Most of them. The Partition Master Free version is able to stand toe to toe with the best of them while being completely free. It has as many features as most of them - it can resize, move, merge, migrate, and copy disks or partitions over. Most of these functions are self-explanatory to anybody used to using these kinds of programs. There are other features that are a little more obscure, such as convert to local, change label, defragment, check and explore partition, etc. etc. There's an extensive library online that covers these in far more detail than I could. You can also use a wizard to migrate your OS over to another drive, useful if you've just installed an SSD and want to move it over to speed up bootup time.
The cons to Partition Master Free are few but significant. As with other EaseUS programs, there are popups and ads telling you to download their other programs. There are also various tools on the toolbar that won't work for the free version, further enticing you into buying the premium version. There is also an 8 TB disk limit. More than plenty for normal users, but not enough for some businesses. Overall, this program has flaws in regards to advertising, but its functionalities more than make up for it.
