PDF Printer Driver Review

Printing a file can be surprisingly annoying. There are only a couple of files that can naturally be printed. Thankfully, most of them can be converted to PDF format, which is one of those couple of files that can be printed. PDF Printer Driver is one of those programs, with a ton of extra enterprise level features, like having an actual interface.

PDF Printer Driver's installation process is pretty confusing, honestly. There's a whole lot of options that require some research, like how the installation asks constantly about how to create a digital version of a printer specifically for this printer. Understanding what it means would take a long google search.

Entering the program itself doesn't make itself any simpler. What's worse is that there isn't any help or tutorial file to help a newcomer along. Any help you want, you'll need to locate online at their website. Each tab doesn't immediately make itself clear as to its function. What, on first glance, do you think the terms Sharepoint, OCR, and FTP mean?

Sure didn't mean anything to me. Turns out, Sharepoint is a special backup server that you can upload files to. OCR stands for conversion from PDF to text file. FTP uploads to a shared server that other people can access.

It took me a while to figure out what all those buttons meant, so there's definitely a learning curve. But when you get through all of that, there are certainly a bevy of features that are useful for anybody. The biggest downside is you only have access to a trial and have to pay at the end of 15 days, but 15 days is plenty of time to know if you like PDF Printer Driver.
