Microsoft and Windows have definitely had their share of faults in recent years. Starting it off of course was awful mistake they made of letting Windows Vista run wild on everyone's computers and they followed that up with Microsoft Office 2007. When will the madness end? Apparently not any time soon as they've gone and done it again.
The one key feature of each and every Windows operating system has been the start menu. And Pokki brings it back. It was the one thing that connected every thing that connected the entire system together. Even if you were completely lost when using a computer you at least knew how to open up the start menu and select a program to run. Microsoft and Windows took one of the last pieces of familiarity and just threw it out the "Windows." (get it? ... Windows!) What's next? No more folders? No desktop?
Luckily there is one developer that has heard our cries; it's the team behind Pokki. Pokki is a classic startmenu-like application that brings back the bulk of the familiarity that we've missed. Now you can finally see a vertical list of all of your applications like you used to. And search from a search bar like you used to; a search bar that brought up the results that we really wanted: our applications and our files, not web search results.
Pokki is a little bit more than a start menu though. It is like its own little operating system built on top of Windows. You can even download games and applications made to run specifically in Pokki. Your Pokki data can even be transferred a usb drive so that you can take your Pokki apps and games with you every where you go.
