Have you ever used the default Windows Add and Remove Program function and you get that dreaded popup that tells you that uninstall ahs failed, or that some components couldn't be removed? Those are the worst because you'd then have to track down those files yourself and remove them. To avoid all that horrendous hassle, it's highly recommended that you employ a dedicated uninstaller such as UninstallView.
UninstallView doesn't need to be installed, making it an incredibly portable program. Just unzip it to wherever you want and run it. If you want to move it around easily, just unzip it straight into a USB or another portable drive.
The program will show you a variety of information about the programs you've installed. You can find out the registry name, version, registry time, installed data, location, the uninstall string, installation date, and more. You can sort the list by every single one of these details with a couple of simple clicks.
One thing this program has over other uninstall utilities is that it lets you preview the registry URLs of each program. That means that you can quickly navigate to it in Regedit whenever you want and modify the values if you know exactly what you're doing. The program also lets you remove multiple items at a time, which is insanely useful compared to a lot of other uninstallation utilities, including the default Windows one.
All in all, UninstallView is a fantastic program for anyone who needs it, and my guess is that almost everyone does.
