Windows 10 Transformation Pack Review
Last Updated: 2019-08-07 22:17:09
While Windows 10 has improved by leaps and bounds over the past couple of years, there's no doubt that there's still a couple of rough patches that need to be ironed out. Even all these years later, there will still be users that want to stick to the time and tested OSes that don't need to worry about a new update potentially breaking something. However, those new users may also like the aesthetic of Windows 10 - if that fits you, then the Windows 10 Transformation Pack is here to help you out.
There are a ton of configurations that you must set before installing the Windows 10 Transformation Pack. Before doing so, however, the program will prompt you to create a system restore point or OS image backup just in case things go horribly wrong. There are a couple of font choices to choose from, like Segoe UI, Segoe UI Light, or Tagoma. If you want a better looking UI, you can also enable the immersive UI option. However, this is unavailable to Windows 8, as it already has the functions that this particular option puts in.
There are a couple of other things that you can tell the program to do. For example, you can ask it to enlarge icons (XP only), install multiple virtual desktops, apply the aero frame UI, and integrate the start menu with Aero's auto colorization.
Once installed, your computer will have the start menu and Windows file explorer as Windows 10. The only downside is that the program isn't too good when it comes to executing simple commands, but Windows 10 Transformation Pack delivers on its promise of a Windows 10 UI.
