Minecraft is an endless font of possibilities, with there being maps created every day that push the boundary of what you can do with the game. There are story-driven fantasy maps, massive open-world sci-fi maps, and many others. Minecraft map makers are constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible with the game. Of course, there are also some extremely simple ones focused on gameplay. One of the more popular ones out there is Cube Survival.

Installing Cube Survival is simple and straightforward - just put it into your map folder and run it when you open the game.

The premise of this map is very simple. You spawn in a floating network of 9 cubes, each with its own biome and with its own resources. From there, you have to complete a ton of different challenges on this tiny island, eventually expanding it out. 

There is a long list of challenges to finish, but the main goal is to reach the Nether and destroy the Book of the Damned. These challenges include builgin a cozy shelter in a cube of your choice, finding the hidden cake, getting obsidian, creating a wheat, melon, and sugar cane farm, enchanting an item of your choice and brew a drink of your choice, and more.

The Nether is also different, as it serves a special purpose compared to the main game. It serves as a fantastic final level to all the trials and tribulations you had to endure to get there. All in all, Cube Survival is a great survival map.
