GodHood is a strange concept for a game although a very cool one, it plays a bit like guitar hero meets streets of rage however the mechanics of this make the game kind of hard to concentrate on unless you are very good at listening to the beat of the music because to hit your enemies you need to time your attacks to the sound of the music and you can see where the beats hit on the bottom part of the screen however you also need to concentrate on the top part of the screen to see where your enemies are coming from so you have to be able to time your attacks to the music whilst moving round and avoiding the oncoming attackers which I’m sure will not be too hard for some people, but personally multi-tasking is not in my repertoire!

The game is still in very early development and there is a very sincere message at the start explaining why there is no voice acting in the opening cut scene, you can also see that the developer Nicholas MacDonald is planning much more for the game before release and it does have a lot of potential but at the moment it can be a bit difficult to play and the respawning after you die needs some work on it.

This may turn out to be an incredibly interesting game as development progresses as it is a very original and unique idea and it will be interesting to see the future of GodHood.
