Tower Defense games have generally fallen out of favor in the mainline gaming industry in the 21st century. There are very few tower defense games in the AAA market, and even if they're there, it's usually as part of a gimmick or a minigame. Thus, Flash games have had time to refine and innovate on the formula by themselves. One of the many series that have tried is the Monsters TD series. Let's look at the first game.

To play Monsters TD, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.

There is now one extra tower on top of the three from the first game. This is a very unique tower, made especially for the perspective. There is now a tower that shoots in a straight line. This means that you have to position this tower in a way that hits the most amount of units at once.

There are even more achievements, levels, and bosses compared to the last game. The customization options are much the same, letting you modify your towers later in the game as well as modifying the amount of gold and the amount of lives you have in the beginning.

All in all, Monsters TD is a very strong game and is surprisingly deep too, especially if you decide to play at a higher difficulty level.
