Paramedium EX 1.0

Paramedium EX is a beautifully drawn visual novel with some interactive elements not just choosing the replies or parts of the story but also there are some reflex based mini games within the game.

You play as a Paramedium (which is a paranormal investigator) who is sent to investigate apparitions and host sighting in residential homes but there are a few surprises along the way along with mini games to stop it from all getting too monotonous, whilst it’s hard to expect too much from a visual novel as it’s essentially reading a book with some nice pictures the production of Paramedium EX is of very high quality and it’s certainly pleasing on the eye, it is also a very interesting take on paranormal activity hearing the list of charges and possible punishments being read to a ghost is very interesting when your protagonist is speaking more like a police officer to a criminal rather than a cleric talking to an apparition which also adds an element of darkly subtle humor.

All in all this is one of the best visual novels around currently around of a higher quality than most what also makes this very impressive is that it was made in a short time frame for the Halloween game jam.
