Police Stories 1.0

Police Stories alpha demo is a top down shooter game with a difference in that rather than just running and shooting people you must try to do it as non-violently as possible by trying to keep suspects alive and making arrests, this is a game where you literally talk first and shoot later however you need to be quick about your decision making as if a suspect decides not to surrender and raises his gun to you you’ll need to neutralize him before he shoots you down.

Should you get shot and have to restart the suspects will not necessarily be in the same place, not to mention that heir is also some innocent civilians around that you need to decipher from the criminals and not harm. The fact that each time you restart you don’t know what to expect makes Police Stories very challenging although as it’s early in its development there was one rather frustrating bug in that sometimes some of the doors to other rooms would not open (whether this was a bug or part of the game we didn’t understand is still not clear but restarting the game normally fixed the problem).

This is an interesting take on a classic style of game that has very enjoyable graphics and a style of play that should get your adrenaline pumping and shows a lot of promise for the full game which is set to be released later this year.
