S4 League Review

Action parkour 3rd person shooters are incredibly rare, but there were actually some pretty great ones back in the late 2000s. There was Gunz: The Duel and its sequel and, of course, S4 League.
To install S4 League, just run the executable and you're good to go.
The first thing you'll notice is the sheer style this game has. Its graphics aren't exactly technically great, but it turns out that art style trumps good textures any day. That, coupled with the amazing techno music and punchy sound effects makes the game a hell of a lot of fun to play just by themselves.
There are no classes in this game, but the massive amount of weapons and gear lets you specialize your character for a ton of different roles. For instance, you can be a flat out killer, a supporter, or somebody who's role is to absorb fire. Hell, you don't even need to run around with a gun if you want, you can run around with just a sword.
The movement is also the most fun part of the game. You can easily run on and bounce around walls without even thinking about it after a short tutorial, and this movement is generally what gives melee-only characters a chance at closing the gap.
All in all, S4 League is a very fun game that boasts a ton of replayability and technical depth. Unfortunately, there is a way to pay for gear that will make it hard for newcomers to start playing against the established playerbase.
