Static Mesh Improvement Mod Review
Last Updated: 2020-05-08 20:23:43
Vanilla Skyrim has a lot of problems, and one of many are the meshes in the game. For those who aren't in the know, meshes are the 3D shape of the model. Bethesda neglected many of the more minute, unimportant objects in the game, with a ton of jagged edges and places that cut the textures off and makes them loop improperly. Static Mesh Improvement Mod aims to fix all of that by...well, fixing all of them.
To install the Static Mesh Improvement Mod, drag it into the Skyrim Data folder, as well as using LOOT to determine the optimal load order so you don't crash your game constantly, much like most Skyrim mods.
Do note that the general player won't notice any massive changes - you'd have to look real close to notice and list out each change. However, what does improve is the general feel of the whole experience. While you'll struggle to list out all the changes, you will definitely feel a difference. When all the meshes are updated to the same level of quality as the dragon models in Skyrim, you'll notice it.
Most importantly, a lot of other graphical update mods that make the game look near photorealistic also require this mod to work. The fact that mod enables so many other mods should let you know how important this mod is. If you're into graphically improving Skyrim, then you should give Static Mesh Improvement Mod a download. You will get a ton of mileage out of this.
