Temple of the Lizardmen 3 1.0

DOOM is one of the oldest FPSes in existence, and its engine is famously so robust that it can run on pretty much anything and also create pretty much anything.  From FPSes to RPGs to companions to a city living game, it has a ton of different mods and maps that can all do different things. Some have created series of maps that are so esteemed that they made sequels. Temple of the Lizardmen 3 is one such sequel.

Installing Temple of the Lizardmen 3 is simple. You need to have ZDoom and move the WAD file into the ZDoom folder, which is pretty par for the course for DOOM maps.

Continuing the trend set by its two prequels, there are elements of both Unreal and DOOM in here. To add on to that, this takes some elements from Unreal's expansion pack and have the marine narrate their adventure in between levels. Adding on to that, there is voice acting in this entry, but they're...pretty bad, honestly. The focus on the story is debatable in its usefulness.

If you've played the last two entries, then there's not much to talk about in terms of gameplay. There are a few new weapons such as the serpent wand and Therana's Sceptre, but outside of that, it's standard fare.

If you enjoyed the last two entries, there's little to no reason not to finish it off with Temple of the Lizardmen 3. Whilee the focus on plot may turn some off, it still plays great.
