VS Aflac Review
Last Updated: 2021-05-10 10:52:38
Friday Night Funkin' has been a massive hit among the gaming community. It is insanely stylish while also hitting the nostalgia switch with its art style. It's also incredibly moddable, with practically every asset it has being editable. The community has created some amazing mods, and full week mods are becoming more and more popular ever since the Whitty Mod paved the way. One of them is VS Aflac.
To install VS Aflac, simply drag and drop the files from the mod into the folder where you extracted the original game files.
This mod follows in the path of mods where the last song is incredibly difficult, to the point where the song barely sounds like a song anymore. However, this mod has it particularly bad, and feels like a massive flanderization of what people dislike about these mods.
All the tropes are there - the opponent will freak out and power up into some destructively powerful form over losing a rap battle with Boyfriend, except unlike many of the other mods where there is some emotional baggage involved or Boyfriend's existence is destabilizing reality, the justification for the freak out here is that Aflac believes Boyfriend insulted his cat. That's about it.
And the gameplay? It leaps far over the line between difficult but fair and difficult because difficult. The final song is one of the most over the top difficulty for its own sake songs I've ever played. There is egregious chordstair spamming that are also jacks, a ridiculous BPM, the whole nine yards. The songs suffer greatly from this, as due to the constant spamming of notes, the songs don't really feel like actual songs and more just a jumble of sounds.
If you're a fan of Friday Night Funkin' and want to experience one of the most brutally unfair challenges around, then you should definitely give VS Aflac a download. Otherwise, steer clear.
