Put a Sock in it is a an interactive visual novel where you play as Serena who seems to have a tendency to lock herself in to places where she can’t escape and needs to find a way to pass the time until someone discover her and she can leave back to her freedom, however luckily for Serena she has a rather active imagination and is never completely alone when she has her two sock puppets to hand and she’s very good at creating stories and characters with her two friends.

The stories are far more interactive than your average visual novel and there are many different outcomes to choose from plus each story tends to have a moral message at the end of it.

There is a lot of detail in the art and it’s bright and colorful style is very inviting, the writing in the stories has some great and subtle humor that keeps the stories clean enough for younger players but should put at the very least a knowing smirk if not a full laugh on older players faces.

As far as visual novel games go Put a Sock in it really sets the bar much higher than many we’ve played here and is a very enjoyable and fun experience that is definitely worth dedicating some of your time to, especially if you enjoy a good fantasy story.
