Unbeliever is a mythical style platform action game, where you start out with nothing and discover secrets about your past as you get further in to it along with gaining more special moves, skills and spell that you can cast to defeat the ghostly enemies as you make your way through this decrepit old castle.

The enemies include skeletons and vampire bats among other supernatural beings. The game is made in a very kind of retro style giving it a feel of an old Amiga or Spectrum, some may call it pixel art but personally I just couldn’t get in to this game for this reason and I’m sure this will be a controversial opinion as some people will love the retro side to this game but it really does look very pixelated and this can give it a very amateurish feel.

It certainly has a very interesting plot and the fact so many features can be opened up as you get further in to the game will give you a reason to persevere and continue to see the different types of spells you will be able to cast and discover the mysterious history behind the protagonist.

Unbeliever is also is certainly not an easy game and those who like a challenge will enjoy this but at times it can be too hard and sometimes the control system is the quickest to respond, there was also some difficulty when enemies such as bats attacked from above or slime monsters that attack from the floor and sending attacks either up high and down low.

Certainly a large selection of people will thoroughly enjoy this game but it will not be to everyone’s taste.
