Deus Ex: Revision 1.4.2.0

Deus Ex is one of the best RPGs in existence, and most people who've played it agrees with that. Unfortunately, the graphics are so dated that it's hard for newcomers to get into. Thankfully, this game is incredibly mod friendly, which leads to its many fans doing their best to fix its issues. One of many is Deus Ex: Revision.

Note that to install Deus Ex: Revision, you need to have Steam installed and own the base Deus Ex game. If you fulfill both those conditions, you'll need to go to this link to install it.

This mod comes with high-resolution textures and a ton of other new graphics, On top of that, the soundtrack has also been updated, although you have the option to keep the old one just in case you don't like the new version. 

This mod also updates and remixes existing levels, in many ways expanding on them while also keeping the core of them alive. So while the actual story and mission sequence is the same, there are also a ton of different little fixes and additions. The result is mixed at times, with some levels dragging a little longer than they should, but it's a net positive.

Lastly, you don't have to destroy your vanilla game installation at all to use this mod, as it's actually a standalone entry in your Steam library. All in all, if you were a fan of the original Deus Ex and have played through it a few times already, you should definitely give Deus Ex: Revision a download just for new flavor.
