There are a ton of MMORPGs out there, but not many have even tried to be a sandbox MMORPG. And out of all those who tried, very few have actually been successful in having the players drive the economy and shape their own story. One of the most famous ones that have stood the test of time for 15 years is EVE Online, home to some of the greatest stories of player-driven politics and espionage.

Note to install this game, you ideally have Steam installed. Once that's done, go to this link to install it. Once you boot it up, you'll be greeted by a tutorial. Unfortunately, most players agree that the tutorial teaches you next to nothing useful about the game, so it's heavily encouraged that you join a corp ASAP. Most corps will have jobs for new players to carry out that is simple and easy, with enough experienced players to hold your hand.

The Corp is definitely the best place to be, as that's where all the player drama is. EVE Online is notable for its stories of industrial sabotage, espionage, and giant wars that cost hundreds of thousands of real-life dollars. The fallout from those events are significant enough that the in-game news outlet will cover them.

All in all, if you want to experience one of the biggest and wildest MMORPGs of all times, then you should definitely give EVE Online a review! It is certainly an experience like no others out there, and you won't be disappointed if you put time into it.
