Back in the day when 3D was just becoming a thing in gaming, Meridian 59 was released. It introduced a ton of different things to the genre, such as an open class system, permadeath, and open world PvP. It's been enjoyed by millions in over dozens of countries. Of course, since it was such an old game, however, a software update is required. That's what this download is. An update to let you run it on modern systems.

The best part about this game is the open class system. You can choose to go as a pure fighter and take your enemies down by simply slashing them or grab some mage skills to set them on fire before you do so as a sword wielding mage. Since the game is heavily PvP focused, you can also play the villain and ambush unsuspecting players and take their gear or take out known player killers to protect new players.

You can also join one of three political factions and fight for them to control territory. You can also make friend and form alliances because there is strength in numbers. And last but not least, there is permadeath where you can lose everything upon dying.
