Low-budget indie games tend to be some of the most creative around, assuming they aren't just flipping assets poorly in Unity. Without the budget to dazzle the audience with beautiful graphics, they instead need to focus on something else to stand out. These restrictions can lead to some very creative premises. Let's look at Feet in the Snow.

To install Feet in the Snow, simply unzip the files inside the archive into any folder you want.

The premise is simple. You play as a person walking in a snowy forest, and come across a scarf that is made of flesh. Continuing on, you eventually come across a fork in the road. Depending on which path you choose, different creepy things will happen with the story. That also gives this game some replay value, as events play extremely differently.

The game is beautiful. It's all the variation of pixel art where everybody looks incredibly realistic, but still just off enough to look unsettling. Small details like footsteps in the snow are still noticeable, and some scenes look so good that they look like 3D environments with a pixel filter over it.

The atmosphere is immaculate as well. There isn't a single part of the game where it doesn't feel like there's that sense of dread creeping down your back. The dead noise as well as the surreal environment are masterfully crafted and can stand among some of the best in indie horror.

All in all, Feet in the Snow is an incredibly unique game that everybody should check out.
