George and the Printer Review
Last Updated: 2022-12-29 02:20:00
Low-budget indie games tend to be some of the most creative around, assuming they aren't just flipping assets poorly in Unity. Without the budget to dazzle the audience with beautiful graphics, they instead need to focus on something else to stand out. These restrictions can lead to some very creative premises. Let's look at George and the Printer.
To install George and the Printer, simply unzip the files inside the archive into any folder you want.
The game has a very simple premise. The office printer won't stop spitting out paper airplanes and it won't print George's documents. You need to figure out a way to make it stop so George can do work.
The main draw and soul of this game comes from the escalation. You start out with some of the most simple measures. Check the print queue, like anybody else would, and try to cancel the whole thing. When that doesn't work, you call the repairman. He gives you a special program for you to try out, which only exacerbates the issue.
And from there, it progresses like a comedy sketch. George eventually gets so fed up that he starts doing random things like pouring coffee on it to try to get it to stop. And...well, it escalates even further from there. I don't want to spoil what happens, but needless to say, it brought me a healthy chuckle due to just how silly it is.
All in all, George and the Printer is an incredibly unique game that everybody should check out.
